Operator OVERVIEW: IQ

As one of the 3 speed 1 armor tiered operators, GSG9 operator IQ brings a ton of versatility, firepower and fragging potential to your squad. With her unique gadget and guns, IQ can be a powerful counter to many of the current meta defensive operators. In addition to her operator counter capabilities, IQ's recent buff brings frags to to her already diverse loadout.

Loadout:
IQ's primaries include the Steyr AUG A2, the 552 Commando Assault Rifle, and the G8A1 LMG

AUG SPECS:
Firing Modes: Automatic
dmg:41 ; 34 suppressed
rof: 720
mobility: 50
mag cap: 30+1
IQ's AUG has medium first shot recoil, medium-high fire rate, and reasonably predictable recoil patterns. When paired with the ACOG sight the AUG is an extremely accurate first shot weapon with medium visual recoil. The holo sight is also an excellent choice if you have difficulty handling the ACOG’s recoil. The AUGs graphic in game is rather intrusive when compared to other guns and operators. You will find that much of your screen is covered by the AUGs scope and gun when not ADS'sing. This is even more apparent when running, with the large scope swinging at the bottom of your perspective. While this is usually not a problem, it is worth noting that this may impair your field of view.
As per usual with the assault rifles, we recommend running this gun with the compensator or flash hider. If you are feeling saucy than you can use the suppressor. Depending on your play style and strategy, the suppressor can be great for surprising the enemy when rushing. It's also great for sneaking around when you don't want the enemy to chase your THICC @ss. The compensator and flash hider are also viable attachments to use because they help reduce visual recoil and improve your overall accuracy with the gun.
Under barrel attachments include the angled-grip and the vertical grip. I generally like to run the vertical grip on this gun because it makes the recoil a bit more manageable but the grip is mostly up to your own preference. The AUG also lets you equip the laser sight. In the recent meta the laser sight has seen an increase in use, largely since Ubisoft did something right and that the laser sight does increase hip-fire accuracy. However, as a player that normally ads's before firing, I usually don't find a use for it. Because of its high visibility to other players I generally don't equip it, but this is up to your playstyle.

552 commando Specs
Firing Modes: Automatic, Burst, Semi-auto
dmg: 47 ; 39 suppressed
rof:690
mobility:50
mag cap: 30+1
IQ's 552 is comparable to Ash's 636C because it has a lower fire rate than its alternative but also has easier recoil to control. The gun's high damage per shot makes it prime for burst fire, but also has low visual recoil at full auto firing. The 552 is best suited for longer range fire fights because of its lower rate of fire, but doesn't suffer in close range encounters. The 552 paired with the ACOG and compensator can make it a formidable weapon, but when paired with the suppressor the weapon is still a powerful weapon.
With IQ's 552 you have 2 choices in grips, the vertical and angled grips. Personally, I run the angled grip because it gives me a split-second advantage when engaging opponents. Both grips are still very good, but the recoil is low enough that I feel you can use the angled grip with minimal downsides. On this gun, I like to stay away from the laser sight because I mostly ads when playing.

G8A1 LMG Specs
Firing Modes: automatic
dmg:37 ; 31 suppressed
rof: 850
Mobility: 50
mag cap: 50+1
IQ's lmg has a large mag capacity with low damage and low to moderate recoil. It is good for suppressive fire and putting a ton of bullets downrange. Many players prefer to use the suppressor in conjunction with the LMG due to the sheer number of bullets you can fire and the low recoil. The ACOG and HOLO sights are both excellent choices for this weapon. In the right hands (Serenity17's) this gun can actually be very effective. Low recoil makes this gun accurate pretty accurate while spraying bullets downrange and can make it a formidable weapon. Headshots should be your priority with this weapon because of the low damage but high ammo cap. Despite this, I still feel IQ's weapons are better choices. First, the kill time for her other weapons are much faster in comparison to the LMG's. Additionally, the ads time on this weapon is extremely long and it can take a long time to stabilize the gun fully into ads. The fire rate isn't impressive, and the bullet damage isn't either. When playing with this weapon it is important to take it slow because it takes so long to ads. Never rambo toward your objective because you will be torn apart before you can scope in. For those reasons, I personally do not run the LMG although some of you may want to try it out and form your own opinions.

Electronics Detector: detects electronics
Gadgets: Frags x2 Breaches x3
IQ Recommended Play Style:
Because of IQ's 3 speed status and high mobility IQ can be extremely aggressive. Because of her high mobility you should always be looking for flanks to help open angles in a firefight. Additionally, as IQ you should be to rotate around the map to pressure the enemy team from different angles and support your own team when needed. However, due to her low 1 armor status, IQ is also very squishy. Use your mobility to your advantage to run for cover and get out of sticky situations. While IQ can be used to rush and take objectives, she can also be played more slowly and carefully in tandem with another operator.
IQ is often chosen to counter enemy defensive operators. Some operators IQ counters include Pulse and Valkyrie. Because Pulse and Valkyrie both used electronic based gadgets IQ can see and track them with her electronic sensor. IQ can also see other operators when they access the cameras. You can often get VAC worthy wall bangs onto your opponents because you scanned with your detector. When playing IQ to counter specific operators, it is important to be vocal and give callouts to your team. Doing so can help your team get some easy picks and eliminate roamers.
Another tool IQ has in her arsenal is her frag grenades. Introduced in Operation Velvet Shell, IQ's frags bring a plethora of new opportunities to the battlefield. Whether you use them to take out turtled defenders or to open walls and hatches, IQ's frags are a must have tool to use.
Finally, Although IQ is very powerful when used in conjunction with other players, this does not mean that you should only play passively. Always remember that you are a 3-speed operator. Playing aggressive does not necessarily mean rushing objective. You can still be aggressive while playing tactically in conjunction with your team. Always be sure to use your 3 speed to the greatest potential, whether to rush, flank or support teammates. Always remember to use your gadgets, and stay THICC.
