MESA:
Here is a template for all of the design notebooks-
design notebook template (18 pages)
Arduino goal:
Identify an air pollution problem. Your device must:
Oh yeah, this is a national competition, so if we win the state competition at lagoon, we can go to nationals over the sumer :)
Project option 1:
In doors in your home. Turns on a air purifier depending on the quality of the air of the house
Project option 2:
On a car exhaust. This will help convince people of how environmentally awful their cars are.
Senses for Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Oxides
Materials:
Grove Shield (this thing has a bunch of inputs for adding on sensors and leds)
Grove gas sensor (Detects gas leakages in a home)
SENSORS:
Shinyei PPD42 Particulate Matter Detector
MiCS-2714 Gas Sensor (NO2)
MiSC-2614 Gas Sensor (Ozone)
MQ-9
Carbon Monoxide Sensor:
MQ-7
Hydrocarbon gasses Sensor:
MQ-2
Misc Stuffs:
5v power supply
RGB 16x2 LCD shield for displaying stuff
Internet shield
- arduino Ethernet shield (Connect arduino to the internet to display data that way)
Krypto
Nothing much is to be said about this really
However make sure to practice, for example this tool is pretty good.
Eggdrop
There haven't been a lot of rules released for this event yet.
This year, we need to design a parachute and have a egg survive a drop without any other protection.
Therefore, the design will look something like an egg attached to some sort of parachute. Shouldn't be the hardest thing to design.
Will update as more details are released.
